In the second installment of this series, we would like to focus a bit on what could potentially be the match to light the metaphorical fuse for mega-level civil unrest in America within working/middle/upper-middle class citizens. While the list of potentials our systems have uncovered is quite long, we have chosen to share a few of the potential catalysts here for our readers. In Part 3 we will cover the phases of unrest in America which we feel will lead to ultimate revolution, or possibly be the revolution itself. Please note that, as always, ArcLight does its best to remain politically atheistic which in this day and age can be difficult. We report the data in a readable format according to how our systems disseminate it.
At the top of the list of potential middle America catalysts is of course economic. In the event of another massive economic collapse, which at this time seems more and more plausible every day, we feel that there will be a class warfare inspired unity amongst middle class America. That is to say that the average American has suffered through a fairly stagnant “real” economy while watching banks and big corporations get bailed out by an increasingly unpopular government. Please keep in mind that on the other end of the spectrum is the ever-increasing “welfare culture” which also receives disproportionately large subsidies from the current administration including those who are in the United States illegally.
Of course, if we add the absolute debacle that Obama care has been into the equation, one need not be a political science major or leadership major to realize that the vast majority of the forgotten middle class Americans are paying for the opposite two ends of the spectrum in terms of social class. As a matter of fact ArcLight data suggests that the trend we have just described has been steadily increasing, much steeper now than before since the 1990′s.
Now then, let us also realize that the same individuals in question, that is, middle class Americans, have been steadily fed a diet of “diversity,” “affirmative action,” and for lack of a more polite way of putting it, “white guilt.” Now. of course, those reading this piece will realize that even the mention of such things in America will get you labeled “racist”. This is precisely our point. We feel as though we have reached a point in American culture where the average white American is no longer going to back off when the “race card” is pulled. We have piles of data suggesting that the racial-economic divide in America, and the subsidies that pay for maintaining that gap, combined with government rhetoric might be alone enough to trigger action. ArcLight data has already indicated that there is a level of welfare / social safety net fraud in the country that, should the average American find out about it, would probably trigger mass civil unrest in and of itself. However, that aside, we are discovering more and more that white Americans are less and less afraid to be labeled “racist”.
The Obama administration is partly to blame for that on account of the fact of the administration’s usage of race and “equality” has been so flagrant that even the “sheeple” can no longer ignore its blatant nature.

So ArcLight data regarding the current topic has illustrated two possible causes of rioting and/or revolt, each of which are linked to each other in a few different ways. The underlying cause though of course here as we know is work vs reward. Average middle class Americans have been working quite hard for the past several decades and increasingly have less to show for it. In addition to that fact, more and more taxation has seen their dollars go to increasingly more and more unpopular causes. Verification of ArcLight’s data can be seen in main stream America news which will have those on the right and those who fancy themselves members of the Tea Party called racist right away, despite the fact that the members of said groups are upset at quite a bit more than that. Please note that this point also illustrates another problem in America which we will get into in another piece which is the “reality vs. how the story is told” gap that is becoming more and more absurd. Smoking gun in that situation is “euphemistic language.”
Another potential cause of massive civil unrest amongst middle class Americans (once again we cover a very broad range of income levels with that statement) is the backlash of civil unrest perpetuated by those that would fit something of a more conventional definition of a rioter. That is to say that American middle class individuals who have homes, cars, some level of wealth, etc., will want to defend their possessions and families. At what point does the defensive become offensive? At what point does looting that will probably start in inner cities, which our data suggests will spread to suburbs, trigger a “let’s just kill them” mentality amongst middle class Americans?
We realize that there are two kinds of reactions to the above statement, of which will fall into two possible categories: racist and realist. The reality of the situation is that inner city minority populations have in the past exhibited the kind of behavior described above, and the results of that kind of behavior to the wrong groups can be seen in how the Koreans defended their markets during the Los Angeles riots. Granted that was a small-scale example; however, that only serves to prove the data our systems have gathered more correct. That was an isolated incident, within a few city blocks, over a very short period of time. What happens when something of that nature happens to the average working class American, already filled with hate and disgust for the state of affairs in America? We feel that initially the reaction will be defensive, but such a mentality will rapidly change to a swift and ultra-brutal offense, or so says the data our systems have collected. Going by the non-linear data that our systems have collected, we feel that the level of violence exhibited by the average American towards said group of inner city minorities, will be proportionate to the near 65 year level of media inspired repression the average American has endured.

Please note that we are working with averages here only, and have not yet delved into those that have been “waiting for a moment to let loose.” As our data suggests one of the most devastating factors in the equation here are those that have been filled with “hate” by media definition and who will lunge at the chance to “eliminate those who need eliminating.” Those individuals in the situation described here will most likely be heavily armed, prepared, will use military-like tactics and more or less unstoppable once law and order breaks down. Essentially the situation we have described here is something of a culture/race war that many of those in the prepper community and those that study sociological issues alike will tell you has been brewing under the surface of America for quite some time now. The current administration in office appears to have only accelerated the process by flagrantly stoking the anger.
The last point we will cover in this installment is the idea of “austerity measures” triggering social chaos in middle America. Essentially the same government which bailed out banks and has been feeding a growing “professional welfare” culture, could be turning around and imposing austerity measures on working Americans. We have seen plenty of evidence of in Europe, most notably Greece of what happens when austerity measures are implemented quickly and radically. Inevitably the austerity measures are the result of socialist leaning governments which have become economically top-heavy and collapse under their own weight. While we have never seen anything like that here in America yet, the reality of the situation is that according to ArcLight data, such a situation is all but inevitable at this point.
Let us think of the reaction of some random, average American who has worked hard to put his children through college (who are probably already laden with student debt), worked hard to save for retirement (with the promise of perhaps a pension), and has saved money consistently on the side, too. What happens now when he is told that his pension, on which he has been counting is not there, social security is not there, and any other program which was intended for individuals who actually worked for a living will no longer be there. But the student loan debts, the increased mortgage payments, and an ever-increasing tax rate will, of course, still be there. At what point does the American working class, middle class, and upper middle class finally just go berserk?
ArcLight data suggests that using only economic metrics paints a very frightening picture of things to come. In fact, a variety of the nonlinear equations that we use suggest that we are at that point right now. To illustrate the point made in the previous paragraphs again, once again bringing classes into the equation, there will come a point where the professional welfare culture’s benefits HAVE to be cut off. Let us also keep in mind that this is the last group that any administration would want to upset because of the aforementioned propensity for civil unrest and violence at even the suggestion of cutting off welfare benefits. Evidence can be seen in the incident regarding Atlanta, GA’s Section 8 mob, which was only an isolated incident, but once again, quite a bit can be told from isolated incidents regarding overall population sentiment. We refer to those as sample sets in our work. We have several specific scenarios wherein we can see the reaction from the “professional welfare class” reacting to austerity measures which would then trigger middle class Americans to finally have the “I have had enough” moment and trigger an even bigger uprising.
Race hate groups. Will they surge forward to cause further problems? Photo: africanglobe.net
We do not categorize anything we have outlined here purely as a race war as there would be a variety of different ethnicities involved. What we feel the diving lines will ultimately be is a cultural/idealistic/economic divide. One of the interesting factors that will play into the equations that we have described here are the individuals who in a traditional situation would be the forces of law and order. We also include those brave men and women who have served the United States in the military as well here, especially those with tactical training and/or experience in civil unrest situations in other countries. We are going to run more data analysis to get an idea of how they will play into the equation, but of course initial data indicates that the police will become a super-brutal offensive force, taking the side of middle class America. While we have seen that phenomenon in other civil unrest events, please keep in mind that active / retired officers at that point would seriously consider their own homes and their own families under threat. We also ask that everyone keep in mind that we are assuming a near or total law and order absent society (in isolated areas at first) in this situation. We have done other pieces and will continue to research the effect of regular US military in a situation like this and we also realize that there are other government/federal agencies (as well as the UN) that might play into a prolonged uprising situation. (We have done a piece on military cohesion which is in our archives).
One final thought we would like to convey here is the potential of another Middle Eastern terrorist attack. We already know that there is a very high level of distrust and resentment by nearly all Americans towards those of Middle Eastern descent in America. Of course, the media has broadcasted a constant message of tolerance, though much like a lot of the other racial issues and cultural issues in America, most middle class Americans aren’t buying that anymore. The message of tolerance that is being fomented by the media is certainly not going to make up for the fact that nearly all the terrorists attacks in America and abroad have been perpetuated by Muslims, nor is it going to make up for the fact that American servicemen and women are dying in the Middle East as we speak. Rather than include coverage of that here, we have chosen to do another piece entirely regarding American/Muslim relations or lack thereof, and the effect that Islam is having on the rest of the world.
As always we do our best to report the data as our systems find it, absent any personal biases by the staff of ArcLight. One thing we will not do is alter the data our system discovered in the name of political correctness or any other agenda. We will also be doing a piece to be accompanied by empirical data regarding race to government dependency soon. We do realize that there are individuals on social programs that truly deserve it, and we are not making a case to illustrate such programs are entirely bad though the cultures surrounding them need to be rectified. We will also go out of our way to cover “cultural spill over” which is to illustrate how as an example there are sections of white American culture that have taken to a minority way of life either by choice, by media message or for other reasons. The third installment of this section will be complete soon and as soon as it is done we will be sure to post it.
